Wood-Working Workshop Continues!
The newest projects in the Wood-Working Workshop are freestyle. This means that residential clients can create and execute their very own design and project. This round of projects range from a diamond feature art piece, a tribute to September 11 and the losses near the Twin Towers, a draughts (checker) board, and various abstract art instillations (some not shown above).
Under the instruction of our staff expert’s guidance, residential clients carefully select reclaimed wood for their projects by size, shape, thickness, and color etc. After learning safety protocols and how-to’s of of using heavy machinery, they use an electric saw to cut their wooden boards into just the right shapes. They carefully sand each piece until smooth to the touch before setting and securing it in place into their individual projects.
Preferring the color of natural wood, the clients then stain and coat their projects to provide the perfect finishing touch.
